Privacy Policy for Taskin

Taskin (herein called "this app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how we handle user information.

1. Data Storage and Handling

Tasks created in this app are, by default, stored locally on your macOS device. The app can be used without signing up and does not independently collect personal information such as your name, location, or usage statistics.

2. Google Tasks Sync (Optional, Pro Plan)

This app includes an optional feature that syncs your tasks with Google Tasks, available with the Taskin Pro subscription. When you enable this feature, the app prompts you to authenticate with your Google account (via OAuth) and sends and receives your task data to and from Google's servers (tasks.googleapis.com).

The data sent to Google consists of the task content you create in the app (such as title, notes, due date, and completion status). The handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If you do not enable Google Tasks sync, your task data is not transmitted externally and remains on your device.

3. Storage of Credentials

The access token issued through Google authentication is stored securely in your device's Keychain and is used only to communicate with the Google Tasks API. The app does not obtain or store your Google account password.

4. Payment Processing

Billing for the Taskin Pro subscription is handled through Apple's App Store (StoreKit). Your payment information is processed by Apple, and the developer (techback) does not receive your payment details such as credit card numbers.

5. User Rights

The app does not independently collect personal information. If you use the Google Tasks sync feature, you can manage or delete synced data through your Google account settings and by signing out within the app.

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children. Use of the Google Tasks sync feature requires a Google account and is subject to Google's age requirements.

7. Policy Modifications

This privacy policy may be updated in response to feature additions, legal changes, or other circumstances. Any updates will be posted on this page.
