1. Getting Started
Installation

Download IntervalTimer Duo from the Mac App Store

Open IntervalTimer Duo from Applications or Launchpad

Set your desired timer durations and start timing
2. Main Interface
Timer Display
The main window shows two timers:
Timer 1 - Your primary interval (e.g., work time)
Timer 2 - Your secondary interval (e.g., rest time)
Basic Controls
Start/Pause - Begin or pause the current timer
Reset - Reset both timers to their initial values
Timer Duration - Click on the time to adjust duration
3. Compact Mode (Premium)
Compact mode shrinks the window to a minimal size, perfect for keeping the timer visible while working. Use ⌃⌥M at any time to toggle it instantly. The window also resizes automatically when you collapse the presets section.

Toggle "Compact mode" on (free users see a padlock; tapping it opens the upgrade screen)
Tip: Combine Compact mode with "Always on top" for the perfect unobtrusive timer setup.
Sharing a Preset (Premium)
Send your favorite timer setups to anyone via a link. Recipients import the preset with a single click — even on the free tier.

Set Counter (Premium)
The set counter lets you define a target number of sets and tracks your progress automatically — perfect for HIIT and circuit training.
Set Target Sets (1–99) when creating a preset
Each completed Timer 1 + Timer 2 cycle counts as one set
The app plays a celebration when you reach your target

Access settings via the menu bar (IntervalTimer Duo → Settings) or ⌘ ,
General Tab
Enable sound alerts - Play sound when timer ends
Language - Choose from English, Japanese, French, or German
Sound Tab
Timer 1 Alert - Choose and preview sound for Timer 1
Timer 2 Alert - Choose and preview sound for Timer 2
Alert Volume - Adjust notification volume
Sounds: Decision / Warning are free; Bell / Trill / Marimba / Pop are Premium. Premium sounds show a padlock icon in the picker.
Window opacity - Adjust with the slider, or scroll the wheel over the timer window (Premium)

The About tab includes a Contact & Feedback link that opens the Verbr support page where you can submit bug reports, feature requests, and other feedback.

Timer 1: 25 minutes (work)

Enable Compact mode + Always on top

Use audio alerts to know when to switch

Note: When using for exercise, always warm up properly and listen to your body.
8. Pricing & Purchase
IntervalTimer Duo uses a freemium model. The basics are free forever; Premium (the pro feature set) is a one-time $2.99 purchase. There is no subscription.

Buying Premium
Click any padlock icon on a Premium feature, or choose IntervalTimer Duo → Upgrade to Premium from the menu bar, to open the purchase screen. Review the price and feature list, then click Purchase for $2.99.
Restoring Purchases
If you've previously purchased the app, click Restore Purchases in the Premium section of Settings.
Universal Purchase
Premium purchased on macOS automatically unlocks the iOS app for the same Apple ID, and vice versa. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
